Leonardo DiCaprio Had To Eat Raw Bison Liver For The Revenant

Leonardo DiCaprio is currently shooting for The Revenant and calls it the toughest shoot ever. He revealed in an interview with Yahoo Movies that he had to work in difficult circumstance for the period drama. The actor revealed that he can come up with 30-40 instances where the scenes were tough and calls it the most difficult things he had encountered. He listed out a few like sleeping in carcasses of animal, walking through frozen rivers, food on the set and many more. The film is directed by Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, who won the Oscar for Birdman.

The movie is about frontiersman Hug Glass that is played by DiCaprio, who is all set to take revenge against those who betrayed him during a bear mauling. The movie is placed in the 1820s. The film was shot in Canadian forest where the cast and crew had to witness some of the toughest scenarios. The 40 year old actor said that he had to fight the severe cold and hypothermia. The Golden Globe winner said that in a scene he had to eat raw bison liver, and the reaction was instant and was captured by the director informs the actor. He said the reaction was nature, and the director kept it.

The most intriguing part of the film will be the bear attack that is filmed naturally and can leave the audience wondering how the encounter was shot. The stunts were extraordinary as the teaser goes to say it all. Though, the actor did not reveal much about the film to keep the interest alive. Moreover, the Titanic actor revealed the cables stunt calling it tough and needed some extensive rehearsals.
